‘MODERN DAY COWBOY’ (SINGLE): RELEASED AUGUST 30, 2024
Taulia Lave releases THE title track of his highly anticipated debut album.
the SONG is a powerful tribute to the unsung heroes of our time—the hardworking men across the country who work tirelessly, often without recognition, to provide for their families and keep their communities thriving.
“I’m not out here claiming to be a cowboy,” says Taulia, “but I know what it’s like to work hard, to fail, and to get back up with a smile on your face. This song is for everyone out there who makes it happen every day without complaining—cheers to all of you.”
‘ME & YOU’: RELEASED JULY 26, 2024
Fans of Gary Allan will appreciate the velvety vibes of this modern day country ballad - like a smooth glass of fine bourbon at the end of a long day, this song celebrates those stolen moments of calm with your partner in crime.
Taulia recorded “Me & You” at Station West Studios in Nashville, a place known for recording hits with the likes of Brad Paisley, Dierks Bentley, and Dustin Lynch. After the session players recorded this track, there was unanimous agreement in the mixing booth that it was worthy of being released as a single.
‘Me & You’ IS THE SECOND SINGLE RELEASED from his highly anticipated debut album, ‘Modern Day Cowboy’.
‘HURRICANE’: RELEASED JUNE 21, 2024
TAULIA IS STIRRING UP THE SCENE W/ HIS rendition of the Country/Americana classic “Hurricane” by Band of Heathens.
“Hurricane” has a storied history, originally recorded by Levon Helm for his 1980 album *American Son*. Leon Everette’s 1981 version hit No. 4 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart.
The song is known for breaking the usual country music moUlds, and Taulia’s version is sure to add another layer to its rich legacy. It’s already a crowd favorite at his shows.
RecordED In Nashville
Taulia recorded the album at Station West Studios in Nashville, a place known recording hits with the likes of Brad Paisley, Dierks Bentley, and Dustin Lynch.
Producer Austin Stanley assembled an impressive group of veteran Nashville session players including James Mitchell, Scotty Sanders, Tim Galloway, Mike Rojas, Brent Rader, and Jacob Filer.
Studio owner Luke Wooten was so taken by the project that he decided to lend his expertise as the Mastering Engineer.
A FAMILY AFFAIR
Taulia’s journey into music began five years ago after the passing of his father.
In a heartfelt tribute, Taulia rented a historic home in the Waverly district and brought a dozen of his family members to Nashville so they could be included in the album’s creation.
Picture this: twelve Samoans in a Nashville studio, cheering on Taulia as he honors THEIR father through his music. It’s a warm, joyful and raucous affair - and you can feel that energy in every track.
